Née en Angleterre, Sarah est diplômée en beaux-arts avec mention du Sunderland College of Art et du Goldsmiths College de l'Université de Londres. Elle a enseigné la peinture et la céramique pendant deux ans avant d'émigrer au Canada.
Sarah a travaillé comme graphiste et illustratrice à Montréal jusqu'en 1990. Elle a ensuite partagé son temps entre le Québec, la Colombie-Britannique et l'Arizona, où elle a repris sa carrière de peintre et voyagé intensivement à travers le continent nord-américain, en particulier dans l'ouest du Canada et le sud-ouest des États-Unis
En 1994, Sarah est retournée en Angleterre pour plusieurs années et s'est impliquée dans un groupe d'artistes basé à Londres, Five Women Artists Plus. Elle a régulièrement exposé avec eux et a participé à d'autres expositions collectives et individuelles. Ses voyages en Amérique centrale, en Afrique, au Yémen, au Népal, au Bhoutan et au Tibet ont inspiré ses peintures aux couleurs riches, incorporant des références symboliques. Son
amour des textiles se reflète dans ses œuvres. Sarah a combiné sa carrière de peintre avec l'enseignement et a enseigné régulièrement les beaux-arts dans le cadre de la formation continue.
Au début de l'année 2007, Sarah est revenue s'installer au Canada et vit désormais à Lac-Brome, au Québec, où elle continue à peindre à plein temps. Elle travaille avec des acryliques, des techniques mixtes et, parfois, des objets provenant de la quincaillerie.

Born in England, Sarah is a graduate in Fine Arts with honours from Sunderland College of Art and Goldsmiths College, University of London. She taught painting and ceramics for two years before emigrating to Canada.
Sarah worked as a graphic designer and illustrator in Montreal until 1990. She then shared her time between Quebec, British Columbia and Arizona when she resumed her painting career and travelled extensively on the North American continent, specifically western Canada and the south west United States.
In 1994, Sarah returned to England for several years and became involved with a London based group of Artists - Five Women Artists Plus. She exhibited regularly with them and took part in other group and solo shows. Travels in Central America, Africa, Yemen, Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet have provided the inspiration for her richly coloured paintings, incorporating symbolic references. Her love of textiles is reflected in the results. Sarah combined her painting career with teaching and taught fine arts on a regular basis in further education.
Early in 2007, Sarah came back to live in Canada and is now living in Lac-Brome, Quebec where she is continuing to paint full time. She is working with acrylics, mixed media and, occasionally, objects from the hardware store.
